About the Swag
The items in this shop are all handmade and one of a kind
designs that you probably will not find at the mall. With
the exception of a few really popular items, I may only
make one or two of a particular style. So if you like
it, get it, because I don't have a distributor to order
more from!
Who are you?
I'm Jenna. I used to be a graphic designer at NASA Headquarters,
but now I am a mother and domestic arts ninja. I have
been sewing since I was 9 and now I like to sew for my
cute little gals, Evie and Vivian. I got so many compliments
and "you should sell those!" comments on my
stuff that I decided to try it for fun. I also have a
blog called Adventures in Leisure at http://www.glamarama.net/blog.
Where are Tartlette clothes made?
In the San Francisco Bay Area, in my secret laboratory!
Ok, its really my laundry and craft room. But laboratory
sounds better. There is no sweatshop labor involved! I
make my own patterns and hand finish everything. I'm a
bit snobbish about my construction actually and if anything
ever breaks on a dress - be it zipper, thread, button
or bead -I will fix it for free. Pinky swear promise.
Why don't you make boys' clothes?
Well, I have girls. And dresses are so cute. I'm all
about the cute here at Tartlette.
Tartlette Customs
I take custom orders so if you have something in mind
drop me a note.
A deposit is required for all custom work. I dont charge
extra for customs, the price will be similar to the ready
to wear items unless its really elaborate.
Do you do wholesale?
Nope, sorry! I want to just keep this as a small boutique
hobby business and if I did wholesale I'd have to hire
help and raise my prices. I don't really want to do that,
as I think groovy swag should be accessible to all.
